Who we are

Fostering what is local and sustainable

CASA ERDE is a family house involved with rural tourism that aims to share with our guests the love and respect we have for nature, sustainability, conscious cooking and culture. It is located in a privileged position at the gates of the Añisclo Canyon, in the National Park of Ordesa and Monte Perdido.

The different layers of CASA ERDE contain bits of our family’s history that help us better understand where we came from and point us towards a sustainable path towards the future.

What was born as a rural house in the Sobrarbe has evolved into an animated project, a declaration of intentions of our way of seeing and sharing life.

CASA ERDE is not just a rural house, it is an art space, with workshops and events. We also want to offer unique experiences as well as providing accommodation.

We like to be informal and courteous with our customers and our philosophy is to promote everything that is local and sustainable. Our cuisine is organic and sourced nearby. We have our own vegetable garden and try to ensure that the majority of our products come from local producers that respect the environment. We are bike friendly.
We want you to feel at home and enjoy this wild and pure landscape
We are waiting for you at CASA ERDE.

Puyarruego is a village of 22 inhabitants located in the heart of the Aragonese Pyrenees, in the region of Sobrarbe at the entrance of the Anisclo Canyon, the National Park of Ordesa and Monte Perdido. It is only 12 km from the medieval village of Aínsa. It enjoys an enviable situation for all those who want to enjoy the wildest nature and the most spectacular landscapes of the Aragonese Pyrenees

The small village is situated on the top of a hill, along whose sides run the Bellós and Yesa rivers. At one end, looking at the magical Peña Montañesa, up rises a church from the sixteenth century. From the same period is the Bardaxi house with has a glorious past. The inhabitants of this village are dedicated to livestock and others, as CASA ERDE, to tourism.

The views that you gaze at from Puyarruego are spectacular. To the north, the mountain range of the Monte Perdido rises up, the third elevation of the Pyrenean mountain range with an altitude of 3,355 m, the highest limestone mountain range in Europe. At its side lies Tres Marías, the Castillo Mayor, Sestrales, Peña Montañesa….

The Bellos River, born in the bowels of Monte Perdido, descends through the Añisclo Canyon, passing through gorges and reaching Puyarruego, where the valley clears and the waters calm down, creating pools in which you can enjoy a dip.
